ROSEMARY DOBSON, AO, was born in Sydney in 1920. She has published
13 books of poetry, and has edited several anthologies. Awards include
the SMH Award for Poetry (1948), the Patrick White Award for Poetry (1984),
the Grace Leven Prize for Poetry (1984) and the Australia Council Writer’s
Emeritus Award (1996). She was given an honorary Celebration by the National
Library in 2000.
