Brandl & Schlesinger publishes literary fiction and non-fiction, biography, Australian poetry, translations, visual arts and academic journals.

We do not publish children’s literature or illustrated books for children, young adult fiction or science fiction, horror stories or westerns.

We recommend that you look around our website (and others) to be sure that your submission will be aimed at the right publisher.

Work submitted for consideration should be sent by email only. Please attach a synopsis of the work, first three chapters and your CV/something brief about yourself. If we are interested in seeing more, we will be in touch.

We have a small editorial staff, which sometimes makes the reading process slower than we or authors would like. However, we try to respond to submissions and queries as soon as possible. Verand Press, our new imprint, carries titles in the genres of health and self-help.
